From arrival to leaving, an amazing stay. Greeted by Maria and shown the property. Nice welcome for sure. Welcome pack. Stunning property with everything you need. Very clean. Great hot tub, again really clean. Was a ten night stay and was offered change of bedding half way through, which was nice. Great location for Lynton, Lynmouth, Barnstaple, Exmoor
and coastal areas to woolacombe and ilfracombe. Recommend Black Venus Inn and the desserts are amazing. Highly recommend. Now totally relaxed.
We decided to do something different for ourselves for our Christmas break in order to escape and wind down after a hectic year and found The Barn in an online search.
Oh wow, it was the absolute perfect retreat for us. As soon as we walked through the door we fell in love with the place. So comfortable, clean, spacious, cosy, warm and with every need and requirement considered for the perfect break. The Christmas decorations and welcome hamper were a lovely touch too.
Maria and Steve are both so friendly and helpful.
We were looking for something very unique and special for our Christmas this year and definitely found it! Would not hesitate to recommend and would love to return if time allows.
A friend recommended Rye Park Barn and wow we are so pleased they did. The Barn was immaculate and had everything you needed for a romantic week away. The hot tub was wonderful and on a clear night we could enjoy the stars as well as the hot tub bubbles. Maria and Steve were wonderful hosts and we will definitely be visiting again! It was the relaxing chilled time we needed and all set in such wonderful scenery.
Our third year of visiting this beautiful place. We love the barn, the peace and tranquility after a day out is perfect. The hot tub is a great way to relax after a day of walking especially with a glass of ‘pop’! Maria and Steve are great hosts and always good to chat to to get recommendations of places to go. Lovely welcome pack on arrival. We had a fab meal at the black Venus at Challacombe, long walks on Exmoor and beach days too. We will be back next year! 😊
We cannot fault this wonderful location and property with the most wonderful hosts, Maria and Steve. The Barn has everything you could possibly need for a relaxing stay in the countryside. Staring at the stars from the hot tub late at night is one of those moments we will never forget. We can’t wait to return.
Third time staying at RyePark within a year it's that lovely here. Excellent everytime! Situated in one of the most beautiful and peaceful locations you will find. An absolute gem. Everything is always so immaculate and homely. I always look forward to the scones maria leaves for us. Yummy 🙂 so friendly and helpful. There are so many wonderful places to visit around this area to, as well as having them on your doorstep here, that I never want to leave 🙁
Me and my girlfriend stayed over the NYE period, can not find any fault in our stay. It is more spacious than you would think and everything is thought of by Maria.

We wanted somewhere to relax and chill - The Barn fulfilled our wish, and more. We arrived to find the area covered in snow. The Barn was spotlessly clean and wonderfully warm. The extra touches of decorations and a Christmas tree, mulled wine and mince pies, supplied by our thoughtful hosts, were very welcome. Days spent walking through the woods and evenings in the hot tub under the star lit sky. What more could you want? Thank you Maria and Steve, we look forward to our hopeful return.
WOW!!! Where do we start to share what an amazing time we had at RyePark House ~ We started to make our plans 2 1/2 years ago to travel to England to celebrate a special BD. We called and talked to Maria from the USA for about an hour. We SO loved our chat and fell in love with what their property could offer us during our 3 week stay. Maria could not have been more helpful and kind during our call and booking process. Then, Covid came into play. We worked with Maria, who is very communicative/organized, on postponing our trip to 2022. Once again, Maria was wonderful and didn't skip a beat and booked us for 2022. When we arrived, the Barn and RyePark House were more than we could have ever imagined! The Barn had everything we needed for a comfortable 3 week stay (all amenities were top notch). Super clean and well organized. Maria has thought of everything to make a stay fun, safe and enjoyable. We loved our walks around their property, calling the walks, "Rye Hikes". Their sheep are delightful. And, their fur babies are equally as delightful. Thank you, Maria and Steve for making our experience in North Devon memorable. Thank you for making us feel like family ~ Run, don't walk, to rent this property ~ you will not be disappointed ~
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in the Barn which was perfect in every way. Beautiful location, wonderful accommodation and superb host. The hot tub was also one of the best we have used and was much welcomed after each day of walking on the coast path. Great value for money too - we hope to return soon and will be recommending to family and friends. Thank you Maria for making our stay truly special.
