We stayed in this wonderful Shepard's Hut for a few (much needed) days. The hut and views were exceptional, it was all the privacy and peace and quiet we needed. Maria and her husband were great hosts and very friendly. We loved how the hut was self catered as we didn't need to pack loads, the landscape and land is so peaceful and quiet, as well as being breathtaking. Hopefully next time we will remember to bring our wellies to walk across the stream! will be returning for sure! (Hopefully when I am less pregnant!) 🙂 Overall our experience has been one of the best for glamping and great value for money you won't regret booking! 🙂
Me and my partner stayed here in November 2017 for a long weekend for my birthday. It is such a beautiful, beautiful place. Maria was so polite and helpful. The place is so peaceful, such a beautiful place to relax. We had no service on our phones which was the best as we are a young couple and always on phones! So this was perfect. I am just about to book for this year! Can’t wait to go back. Thank you
The Shepherds hut is truly exceptional. Maria and Steve went above and beyond to ensure the weekend we spent there was amazing. There is nothing they have not thought of. Their attention to detail is second to none. The only negative is that we had to leave. We will most definitely be back. Thank you!
Absolutely flawless accommodation and set in a tranquil and natural backdrop created the perfect getaway for us both. The weather wasn’t great but that didn’t stop us going for a walk through the woods and by the river, it’s a truly stunning place and we will be back, thanks Maria!
Absolutely stunning, the keepers watch was fresh, clean, modern and very well equipped. We wanted and got quite tranquility and a beautiful place to relax. A few glasses of wine sat around the fire pit was so lovely whilst listening to the owl. With the freedom to roam the woods and stream and short drive to the beautiful coast line our only regret was that we didn't stay longer. Maria we will be back, thank you for your hospitality.
What a fantastic find! Peace and quiet in a lovely private shepherds hut. An ancient woodland to gaze out on and explore and the sound of owls to accompany a glass of wine around the fire pit. We even saw fireflys in a nearby tree! The accommodation had all the comforts of home only in a more compact space. Everything was perfect. Plus there are some beautiful places to visit nearby including beaches, pretty villages, the town of Barnstable which has a bakery with gluten free bread and cakes, a market etc and a quirky Sculpture Park. I could go on... but as you can tell we had a fab stay and highly recommend Keepers Watch.
An amazing glamping experience! Beautiful views, great accommodation and amazing location. Could not have been happier with the experience, I would certainly recommend this to anybody looking at a weekend break or longer.
You know when it's your duty to tell everyone about a place , but really you want to keep it a secret just for yourself... Keeper Watch is just that.As soon as you walk in you know and feel it is loved. The owners attention to detail is outstanding and you can feel the thought that has gone into providing an experience that you will want to feel again and again. You will be provided with a a full inventory to help you pack , towels, soaps, shampoo the lot to get you started and fresh supplies. The greatest treat you can give yourself is to wake in the morning, open the doors and take tea in bed and the other is to sit out of an evening, get the fire going, wine and chat. Nothing feels squashed in , with a shower and bathroom and cupboard space and storage under the seats . Keepers Watch is a total 'find' and if you are reading this you already know what you are looking for , some peace, some space and some precious time. Trust us, you will love it !
Such a special place, stunning views and Keepers Watch is so cosy and has everything you need for a break from everything, cooking on the fire pit and listening to the owls in the evening, a little piece of heaven on earth!!!!
A really lovely place to stay and visit. The shepherd's hut was really nice and very comfortable. Very well equipped with everything you need. Great views to wake up to and very secluded, lovely to sit outside on an evening toasting marshmallows over the fire pit. The sheep on the farm are strangely vey friendly and love a bit of affection.Maria and Steve were great and very accomodating and helpful and even lent us wellies so that we could walk through the stream and explore the local forest. A great stay and will hopefully return at some point.
