Stunning
Date Of Stay: 16th August 2021

We have just returned from an absolutely amazing stay at Keepers Watch. Upon arrival Maria welcomed us and we discovered the most amazing Devon cream tea which was a lovely surprise and went above and beyond our expectations. Keepers Watch is set in the most beautiful and tranquil location and is prefect for a relaxing getaway. The location is surrounded by woodlands and fields and has the most beautiful river which can be accessed through the field below Keepers Watch. It is extremely well appointed and has everything you could need and is lovely and comfortable and cosy. We enjoyed our stay so much we have booked again for next year. Absolutely perfect. Rated 5 ***** but would give it 10**********

Absolute perfection
Date Of Stay: 7th June 2021

Myself and my partner have just come back from a four night stay in keepers watch and what can I say apart from this place is absolutely perfect and would highly recommend. From the moment we booked this stay Maria could not have been more helpful, with amazing directions, immensely useful local recommendations and an inventory before we even arrived. Upon arrival and throughout our stay Maria could not have made us feel more at home and the cream tea provided upon arrival was a lovely touch. The accomodation itself is beautifully presented and very well maintained with everything you could need for your stay. The view from the hut is absolutely breathtaking had to force myself to leave the hut once in a while to see the local area. The hut is a good distance from the house, far enough for complete privacy but close enough if you need anything. If you are thinking of booking something like this I would defintely recommend keepers watch. This place is a little slice of heaven.

Blissful weekend
Date Of Stay: April 2021

A fantastic 3 night stay in "Keepers Watch" helped by the April sunshine. Beautiful shepherds hut with everything you need. Run by wonderful hosts who are always on hand if you need anything. The complimentary cream tea was a treat. 5 stars *****

Keepers Watch
Date Of Stay: July 2020

We had a wonderful, peaceful and relaxing stay. We received a warm welcome from Maria when we arrived and asked a few questions about the local area and possible walks, which we recommend doing as the countryside is beautiful and very quiet!
The hut itself is very well designed to make the most of the space and we made full use of the fire pit.
An amazing place to get away from it all and the best review I can give is that we have booked to come again!

Beautiful stay

What can I say, my boyfriend and I had such a lovely stay at Keepers Watch. We couldn’t have asked for anything more, the Shepard’s hut has everything you could want and more. It was pure tranquility in the beautiful countryside.

Fabulous
Date Of Stay: august 2020

We had been recommended to go to this 'haven' by a work colleague. What a great place. Both myself and my wife needed somewhere to switch off during this very hard Covid year. Keepers watch was exactly what was needed. It has fabulous views of the country around it. It's very well catered for with everything that you need to relax. We had several nights where we could get outside and just relax and watch the stars and have an open fire. Equally well positioned to enjoy countless other activities including walking. One final point - the chips at the nearest pub - Black Venus - are to die for!! Thanks so much - we will revisit!!!

Keepers Watch
Date Of Stay: 28th July

This was truly a gem of a place to stay, from the moment we arrived and were warmly welcomed by Maria, to the location which had wonderful views and lovely walks through the Ancient Woodland. The peace and quiet was just what we needed, we stayed in Keepers watch to celebrate our 30th Wedding Anniversary, Maria & Steve had kindly left us a little something which was very thoughtful & much appreciated. I could write so much more on how special this place is but maybe you should go & find out for yourself. Thank you both very much for making our Anniversary very special.

Delightful
Date Of Stay: 6th July 2020

What can I say, this was magical, I think I reverted back to my childhood playing house in this delightful shepherds hut. Totally private, comfortable, cosy, and you were not left needing anything which was not provided in the hut. I was surprised to find the visitors book had entries from 2017, I honestly thought we were the first to arrive and stay, it just shows the love and attention provided from Maria and Steve to their lettings. The little surprise was a delight to find as well as the fresh wild flowers but the greeting in Welsh just topped it all 🙂 So welcomed my first week of release from 5 mile radius in Wales since the last 15 weeks post Covid19 isolation rules but also welcomed the privacy, seclusion and also the focus on sanitation knowing that this was as a priority. Fantastic B roads too for motorbike riding 🙂 Thank you so much for the stay.

Wonderful cosy stay
Date Of Stay: 8th Nov

We had a wonderful weekend away in the shepherd's hut. It was a wet and cold November weekend. But the hut kept us warm and dry. It had everything we needed and much more. It is very well kitted out and beautifully decorated. We especially loved the fold out double bed!
All in all a perfect winter get away. We will have to come back in summer as well to enjoy it in the sun! Thanks Maria!

The lovely shepherds hut
Date Of Stay: 26-29AUG

We had a lovely stay in the cosy Shepherds hut exactly what we needed. its in a great location It's well equipped with all you need to make your stay comfortable. We used the fire pit every night for BBQ and after the food was done just to enjoy the fire with a glass of wine with the river sounding in the background. The location is peaceful and quiet. Only 30min drive away you've got Croyde or Woolacombe beach to go surfing or go for a nice walk and a similar distance to some great places in exmoor and the North Devon coast.
We will be going back for more exploring and relaxing.
Maria and Steve are great hosts and made us feel at home. What a great place!
